November 1999 is when Julius from Hempstead NY decided to take the dream of discovering how to make that sound that he herd in the background of his favorite songs. inspired by Timbaland and his futeristic sound from 1995, Julius began making beats and perfecting a sound that would become original to hip hop. Shortly after aquiring the skills of producing rthymatic tracks it was important to learn how to actually become a true producer and assimilate the ability of matching the proper artist to his/her precise beat. In 2000 he moved to Inwood a small town next door to Far Rockaway Queens,It wasnt until his senior year in high school of 2003 when he discoved the talent of an attractive female with a native american background who he had been friends with in the class room. Weary of just beat boxing to her singing he decided to make a track that would fit her voice. thus Baby Boy -times up- was the first published song ever recorded on the young label. Attracting quite a following his next artist Shug came to light with simple humorous and antagonistic lyrics and punch lines. It had seemed that Dark Sky was finally establishing itself. Shug soon introduced his friends M.A.R.R. from Inwood J-Streets from Brooklyn and Freddy from Far Rockaway whom he had been previously working with called Hood Fellas. M.A.R.R. had the dark sinister yet lyrical style he had been looking for. J-Streets had the raw uncut lyrics who love to rap about women, money, and the streets while giving it a comical feel. Finally the last member of Hood Fellas was brought to the surace in 2005. From Fred to Freddy Duop to Queens he brought the commercial sound to the group that they needed. In 2006 Dark Sky took I.T.N, a Inwood regime, upon its wing when he began working with Tank. In 2008 when Julius finished going to school and perfected his studio he felt his team was ready to make moves. The first major single Dont Think ya Ready was released and caused a hood buzz from Nassau County to the 5 boroughs as it featured M.A.R.R., Tank, Reese, a singer from the bronx, and a sample of S.Dot. one of I.T.N.s fallin soldiers. In 2009 The group had begun doing shows and colaborations yet faced another loss from I.T.N. an upcoming rapper named Thugg. Soon after when Stack Bundles a Far Rockaway prodigy passes the label ironically fell in the dark. Now in 2011 Julius feels the need to resurrect the group back to its full potential and is planning on making major moves from the tristate to upstae New York.
