Emerging from the British music scene in 2006, ..Illusion.., a band who's genre has proven hard to define, have been described as Heavy Rock for the 21st century...With an edge of classic hard rock, and a twist of something new, gives Illusion something ultimately UNIQUE to bring to the world... Friends since school, Andy, Fletch and Steve formed a band in 1996, initially taking centre stage to play the likes of Metallica, Iron Maiden and the much loved Guns n' Roses. It was at this time Andy penned the music and lyrics for 'By your Side' a track that has grown to become a favourite within the group. With the pressure of career choices looming the band split to pursue University degrees... It wasn't until November 2004 that Andy, the stronghold of the group, came forth with a new set of songs and refined music. From this point on 'Illusion' was born. The addition of Colin 'Mincer' Locke in early 2006 to provide the percussion, has given the much needed depth and timing to their established songs... At Christmas 2006, Steve announced he could no longer continue with the increasing number of gigs and the studio sessions due to family commitments; a major set back for the band. However, only a few months later, Andrew Dylag, a young, talented and driven guitarist appeared on the scene. He worked very hard with the band and taken the live shows to a new level... Almost a year later, Illusion had still not reached the heights expected from the band and it was decided that change was needed. After a short break, Illusion were back with a new line-up, Andy Dylag was replaced by Dave Locklin and probably the biggest surprise to fans was the addition of Keyboards through World-Renowned Professional Musician, Andrew Weeden of Meat Loaf tribute and Vampire Rock fame
