abeZilla is an ‘electronic’ music producer currently located in Hull, UK. He started producing music in the year 2000 with just the love of music to guide him. His early tunes were circulated through friends. During the intervening years he has developed his genre-crossing style, learning how to use the tools at his disposal to best effect.

abeZilla likes his Drum N Bass, but is content to produce music in a variety of genres and styles. From Jazz and Indie on one side right through the scale to Drum N Bass and Electro on the other side, but mainly concentrates on producing Drum n Bass, Dubstep and downtempo.

abeZilla has produced five full length albums, and several EP and remixes, which have not yet sent shockwaves through the musical establishment…

In 2004, abeZilla decided his music was sounding good enough to be pushed in the ‘outside’ world. During then and 2006, he set about creating the SCAM series of releases. Free short (around 30 minutes) CDs showcasing the best of the latest abeZilla sounds. These were spread around in a local promotional activity which resulted in a few plays at local music nights, and more people showing support.

As the years progress, the quality of abeZilla’s music improves and the productions start to show signs of confidence and maturity. The current peak is “SCAMCD2.5” (2008), the ideal sampler to the world of abeZilla, and “Failsoft” (2007), the fifth full CD album. Both of these have been received well by fans and casual listeners alike, and can be downloaded for free using the links on the left. In 2009, abeZilla is taking a slightly different route, while SCAM03 will be available for free download, while all further releases will be released for reasonable prices. Having said this, there will still be free tracks & mixes available to registered fans.

With his newer material being more complex from a composition point of view, and many of his tracks featuring a layered approach to production, as the tracks improve in quality, the quantity reduces.

abeZilla has had his track "Covert Operation" featured on the "PURPLE WORM REMIX ALBUM 2" compilation (release in January 2009), two Top 20 songs on the Soundclick charts (one of which briefly flirted with the Top 10), and has consistently reached the Top 10 on the hullvibe.co.uk MP3 chart, and has achieved this without playing a single live show or DJ set. Having said this, abeZilla has received lots of local support from The Sesh and HullVibe, amongst others, with plenty of plays at local nights.
