“When we were looking for a Frank Sinatra singer to perform at our Las Vegas casino night fundraiser, we looked and listened on various sites. When we heard Mr. Anthony's recordings here, we knew we found him, but what a surprise we were given when he performed live. I personally have seen more than a few Sinatra shows in various theatres, but "WOW!", Mr. Anthony was definitely on! Mr. Anthony's recordings were great, but his live voice has an amazing sound that the recordings here do not fully capture. In fact, he sounds and moves just like Mr. Sinatra and he even has blue eyes. We felt like we were in a concert with Ol' Blue Eyes himself. I remember that almost all of the nearly 200 people stopped in silence during his first song as the warmth of his voice rushed over us. And with such beautiful ballads, you can't help but listen. James Anthony traversing from Falls Church, Virginia, won this year placing first with his rendition of "Blues in the Night". He was the only contestant to get a PERFECT SCORE from all five judges of 25. His story behind his Frank Sinatra singing is very compelling because James was struck by lightning in 2005 in Florida. For the singing contest contestants were rated on a score from 1-5 for their performances. Hoboken judge Dale Monaco who is the only living relative of Frank Sinatra in Hoboken was the toughest grader of the bunch at one point being referred to as the Simon Cowell of Hoboken Sinatra Idol judges.
