Come hear some of Ventura County's most talented tellers as they share our rich heritage of ancient story and personal experience. Tellabration is an annual event of the National Storytelling Network (www.storynet.org) in which raconteurs from around the world come together on the third Saturday in November to share their talent with their communities.

Members of the National Storytelling Network will give four performances. Wsir Johnson and Elaine Muray will tell stories from 11 to 11:30 am on the main stage in the auditorium. Elaine Muray integrates movement and narration to deliver tales from around the world as well as personal stories. Wsir Johnson will perform a story that soon to be released as a children's book. At 2 pm, Cynthia Matthews and Elaine Muray will do another half hour performance. Cynthia Matthews will draw from her published books and other materials. More than 60 authors, small publishers and storytellers will participate in the Ventura County Book & Author Fair, Saturday, November 5th in Camarillo. Author book signings and readings are scheduled throughout the day at booths at the Book Expo segment of the fair.

ABOUT THE SHOW Theme – Too often art comes from the “usual suspects” – established artists with schooled credentials. “Folk artists” and others out of the mainstream were often sidelined from the art scene.
