“Welcome to a change from the mundane. Point of View starts off as just that, and lets the listener know that they are stepping over to the other side. The title track is one of the tapes strongest and showcases the groups talents in producing, singing, and rapping. POV does become a little lackluster, or typical, towards the middle with songs like Talk 2 Em, a typical “flossin” song glorifying the money, car, clothes, and hos, (let’s face it, we’ve heard this before,) and 5 Stacks which is another Mr. Me Too (Clipse,) I Can Do It Too (Young Doe,) in general I think the point of view (no pun intended) on this story is played out. Frankly these two songs seem to be taking away from the overall message of the tape seen on tracks like Yellow Tape: “In the hood we wanna produce 10 Obamas/ But roun here most n****s is Lorenzo Lamas.” Overall it’s a solid effort, with a little fine tuning the industry will see the new era of hip hop from a different Point of View, pun inte”
