Zsa Zsa Ketzner / Press

“Zsa Zsa Ketzner fills the nuances quite well on this their second effort. Very intelligent song crafting makes this EP a welcome companion to post rock bands like Still Pioneers, Saxon Shore, Deadhorse, Moonlit Sailor, and Last Lungs.”

“There is a tipping point to rock instrumentation when it just drops off the edge and becomes a monotony of self-indulgent noise, Zsa Zsa Ketzner manage to avoid this as they add layer of texture and instrumentation throughout the tracks, so in fact as the track extends so the work becomes clearer – something akin to painting and they don’t add a brush stroke too many to the compositions.”

“This is a little post-rock ditty out of Tulsa/Wichita, Kansas that gives the indie/experimental genre another notch in their collective belt. I met one of the guys from the band passing through a secondary merch tent at Cornerstone 2009. He slipped a disc into my hand and told me I wouldn’t have any problem finding them online. They have a very unique, at times hypnotic guitar effect, almost atmospheric. Nothing like getting the most out of reverb! For an independent EP, I hope there is more to come from these guys. This is a true DIY gem.”
