Zdany Chisholm / Press

“I first met saxophonist Zdany Chisholm several years ago, when he was one of the musicians at my church. So, when I found out he moved to Atlanta to pursue his music career, I was thrilled to feature him here on Finding the B-Side. When he sent me his press kit, I was even more impressed with his work, as I then found out that he is also a producer and vocalist! Zdany has certainly been busy building his career. He is the solo saxophonist for Cody ChesnuTT, and he is featured on ChesnuTT’s latest album, Landing on a Hundred. Zdany has also released his first album, Genesis and it’s definitely worth the money. He describes the album as “a creative fusion of smooth jazz sprinkled with the essence of R&B and garnished with a little heart and soul”. I’d say that’s definitely the right description. Find out for yourself by checking out two songs from Genesis below, Date Night and my favorite from the album, Be Somebody, which features Zdany as the vocalist.”

“Zdany Chisholm debut CD Genesis is the beginning of a beautiful relationship between the artist and music lover. Whether it's the silky sounds of "You Can Have It All," smooth jazz at its best with "Date Night" or an ode to that special lady "Queen of my Dreams," Genesis has something for any fan of good music.”

“Artist and producer Zdany Chisholm releases an eleven songs debut collection ‘Genesis.’ ‘Genesis’ provides a distinctive approach to Smooth jazz and R&b music. Hard to imagine this is the first collection from Zdany. This collection is quite polished and rhythmically refined with well-balanced vocals and lyrics. Listen to ‘Genesis’ collection, one will take for granted Zdany Chisholm released another collection in a continuation of previously successful collections. If ‘Genesis’ from Zdany Chisholm is merely a debut collection and sounds this great; one can only imagine how much greater future collections will sound.”

“Good evening my smooth jazz lovers, you have to check out the new CD by Zdany Chisholm, "Genesis". It's what we call smooth jazz by one of the hottest saxophone players in GA. The song, 'On the Throne' is so good it's the smooth jazz of today. ”

"Genesis" exemplifies originality by the artist Zdany Chisholm who exudes multiple talents.... Uncharted Territory due to be discovered!!! "On The Throne", speaks volumes! Keep up the good work!!

“After listening to Genesis for the 50th time I love the intro of Genesis, it lets me know that a spiritual connection was involved in the making of this album. I fell in love with "You Can Have It All" and "Date Night." Also "Be Somebody" was just confirmation that I can do what I want to do...so step aside 'haters.' This album is truly a great entertainment, nice sunny day ride, high energy and relaxing creation!! Z you got it going on and truly blessed talent. ”

“It’s been a long time coming but American Saxophonist Zdany Chisholm has finally released his debut album entitled Genesis, and as the title suggests this is just the beginning of things to come. With a percentage of the album proceeds going to the American Cancer Society – Zdany had a chat with Musicvein about his life, work and the donation. “I believe that I was born a musician – music runs in my bloodline.” Zdany starts, “I grew up in the church where I played music but I only started playing the sax back in 2000. I’d play locally but more recently had the opportunity to tour Europe with Cody Chesnutt – which has been an amazing and surreal experience. People always asked when I was going to record an album - I guess it was just time.” ”
