YZM / Press

“I was pleasantly surprised with this record, as I expected it to be another local rapper oversaturating the market. However, YZM spit some deeper content behind a trippy beat and video, giving this American Gold record the CLPNation.com nod of approval. Share and enjoy!”

“We’ve featured YZM on CLPNation.com for good reason, so this record serves as a solid follow up to his American Gold record. I’ve heard so much from so many local artists, so it’s always nice to hear something different and fresh. I was entertained by the video, and it’s satire kept me watching the entire time. This is a good production all the way around and I’m looking forward to watching YZM progress while maintaining the consistency it takes to separate from the cookie cutter children that is local music. Share and enjoy! Sidenote: solid production from Dahi Beats.”

“YZM covers the spectrum with his release of “Blast Off.” The 21-track tape is sure to have something for any and everyone. Songs like “Someday,” we hear the passions, desires and pains of a young emcee and as a young man, things that can be related to by all. The tapes production is masterful, with everything from soul to trap style instrumentals. YZM put forth a strong effort into the tape and it shines through the entirety of the project.”

"I peeped the mixtape and its a pretty cool project that you put together. You got the laid back style and have a nice mix of both original Hip-Hop + New School elements. The mixtape also has a lot of variety between classic Hip-Hop type of beats to a little bit of Trap and some R&B style of music. I like the tracks "Sky" and "Unstable". My only real criticism is on the sound quality. For the most part the quality is ok, but you and/or your engineer definitely have a lot of room to clear it up. This will all your listeners to appreciate all of your lyrics and music a lot more. Overall: its a nice project with plenty of good stuff to listen to
