“HOLY SMOKES, the CD absolutely rocks! From the opening wails on the first song "Rise", to the outro guitar shredding on the last song "U Should Not Fear", I was blown away. It is a solid CD from beginning to end. NO FILLER, ALL KILLER!”

“RISE: the band’s first release. And the album itself? Queensryche! The comparison is unavoidable, particularly with the pre- ‘Empire’ period, which, in itself is no bad thing, but you can’t help feeling that if WiszdomStone could just cut loose, they could really have something to offer." "A & R men take note. Give this particular ‘Stone’ a polish and there’s a little gem waiting to be found. ”

" I hear first class Melodic Heavy Metal with an awesome production, outstanding vocals and overall recognizable songs. Yes, every track owns its positive points, either it are the riffs, the solos or the vocal lines... it makes this album very enjoyable. And of course this is typical US Heavy Metal, the kind of Metal we at Metal To Infinity adore! Fans of (especially) Jag Panzer, Armored Saint, Metal Church, Seven Witches but also the European traditional Metal bands like Tad Morose and Mystic Prophecy will be pleased by this one. Even the Eighties style of Black Sabbath is crossing my mind."

“In a time when most of the good new bands have been coming out of Sweden, imagine my amazement when I heard Jackson, Wisconsin’s WiszdomStone for the first time. Judging from the excellent tunes on the the new five song EP “The Battle Rages” from WiszdomStone, huge things may be in store this band in the near future!”

"When I first discovered WiszdomStone, I realised that heir name was well-spread over mySpace and they reputation was rising rapidly. When their first EP came out and I think that the Power/Progressive Metal has witnessed a sensational project!"

“Everybody has those CDs that are their go-to CDs. You know, the ones you never get tired of, the ones that you listen to, just to listen to something. One of mine is "Rise" by Wisconsonian band WiszdomStone. "Rise" has an awesome foundation. It has the melodic heaviness of Judas Priest's "Screaming for Vengeance" and "Defenders of the Faith". It also has some modern flair of Kamelot and Avantasia. Speaking of Kamelot, Casey Grillo steps behind the kit for one of the tunes! The vocals are tackled by André Beaudot, who has a great metal voice. It is gruff (not McGruff) when it needs to be, and can really soar, such as on the opening track "Rise". No good band would be complete without a tight rhythm section, and WiszdomStone has a great rhythm section. Great double bass work and great drum fills, with a bass tone that is solid, deep, and thundering.”

"Vocalist Andre’ helps give WiszdomStone its signatures sound. Specifically, he combines elements of grit – kind of like Matt Sinner (Primal Fear) – with a smooth sounding presence comparable to Brian Soulard (7th Reign). The overall impression left is Lance King singing in a lower key." "Guitar work is another area of strength. Ray Luokka delivers memorable riffs and melodies in abundance while combining with guest guitarists Mike Stone (ex-Queensryche), Brent Taritas, Brian Bolle and Brent Taritas for the albums tasteful lead work, ranging in style from the neo-classical to the melodic to the blazing."
