New Year's Eve with: Wheels in the Sky Excellent Gentlemen Nicole Berke Monday, December 31st 8pm The boys who put the RAWK in Jimmy Mak's, Wheels in the Sky, are back in action, and this time they're ready to seriously blow some tribute-band doors! That's right, Wheels will be raisin' the ante and ringing in the New Year with arena rock gems from Journey, Foreigner, Loverboy, RATT, Huey Lewis, Whitesnake, Bryan Adams, Eddie Money, Cars, and a whole helluva lot more. This is the REAL DEAL, folks: No tracks, no wigs, no messing around! These boys do it right—they pay tribute to an ENTIRE ERA of rock 'n' roll! But there's more: Wheels in the Sky has welcomed a second guitar-shredder, Mr. Dominic Castillo, to add some sex, fire, and aggressive crunch to the mix, so now there ain't nothin' they can't absolutely ROOST on. Here's truth: Wheels is gonna slay it, and YOU are gonna LUV it! And just when you thought you might make it through the night with one pair of underpants, we’re here to tell you to bring an extra pair. Taking the stage after Wheels rocks you will be the funk cavaliers The Excellent Gentlemen—kickin' in the sex-jams for the late-night. Oh yeah, we’ve also got foxy songstress/keyboardistNicole Berke, who'll open the evening with a set of killer piano-driven pop and soul. So how ‘bout that?!!? Mark your calendars now for a New Year's Eve blowout at Jimmy Mak's, the likes of which you ain't ever seen before. Get your tickets quick, because they will sell out fast!
Wheels are on at 9pm!

“A gentleman named Michael Vincent Michaels III emailed this morning to alert us to an upcoming Jimmy Mak's gig by none other than Wheels In The Sky, the West Coast's premier Journey tribute band... You should watch the video. "Journey done right," the narrator says. And that's true, probably. Because it's not done by Real Journey. I have to believe a Journey tribute band would be a more enjoyable experience than an actual Journey show, even though Real Journey is now mostly a Journey tribute band itself, though one complicated by the pretense of attempting to still be Real Journey. Wheels In The Sky has no such hangup... But Journey. Or, more exactly, Wheels In The Sky, loved up and down the West Coast by Journey-lovin' ladies and the men who love them.”
