“““Tequila Mockingbird Luck And Trouble The album takes the listener through several different types of rock, all done impeccably. The opening track "Blue" recalls the jam band feel of Santana with bluesy guitar riffs. But that vibe ends when the song ends—this album has far more than blues. The heavy "Actual Size" uses grunge-y guitar chords and deep, grumbling vocals from the frontwoman. The album takes a turn to country on "Luck And Trouble," which incorporates skillful slide guitar. Giving the record even more diversity, songs like "La Carta" and "Wrong?" sound like old ska-punk bands like Save Ferris or Bif Naked with horns, guitar distortion, and an upbeat tempo. Luck And Trouble gives the listener an album that showcases a variety of genres. Crossing into several musical styles in the same album is a nice break from bands whose albums consist of slight variations on the same song. Grade: A”””
