Bio: What is now the Velvet Underground was for years a series of Rock and dance clubs in the basement of this building. From 2002 to 2006 it operated as the legendary Cellar Door, part of a two floor Blues club, restaurant, and nightclub complex, mirroring where it is going again - formats ranged from disco to Rave Music to live bands. When I saw it I knew it was the perfect Rock Dungeon - no windows, dark and mysterious, corridors connecting rooms with different personalities. The format will once again be mixed, offering live bands, and dance nights, but will will now feature shows with national recording artists for special events. A full concert sound system was installed and new LED lighting is being added to give it the full Rock Club atmosphere we were looking for. There are two main rooms, and one will be the presentation room with a bar, and the other will be the quiet private area for those who want to just kick back and not be in throng of a jamming crowd.
