Bio: The Ogden Museum of Southern Art/University of New Orleans is home to the largest and most comprehensive collection of Southern art in the world, and includes the Center for Southern Craft and Design. Among the many artists represented in the Museum’s permanent collection are Benny Andrews, William Dunlap, Ida Kohlmeyer, Will Henry Stevens, Hunt Slonem and George Ohr. The Ogden Museum of Southern Art presents Ogden After Hours, a weekly music concert series, every Thursday evening from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. The musicians featured are residents of the Southern region of the U.S. or have roots in the South. Each show includes a live performance as well as an interview segment with the featured artist. There are two cash bars as well as food available for purchase. Shows are all ages with an activity table in the Education Gallery for children. Museum hours are 10 am - 5 pm Wednesday through Monday and 6 pm - 8 pm Thursday evenings for Ogden After Hours.
