Bio: Off the beaten path, nestled amidst beautiful hill country oaks a stone's throw from the Pedernales lays a local waterin' hole, but there ain't nothin' upscale or highfalutin' about this place. My Brother's Place at Moon River Bar (known affectionately as just plain ol'e Moon River Bar) is known for it's laid-back atmosphere, super friendly patrons, staff, and an ample selection of favored cool beverages. Moon River Bar offers good ol'e bar food like cheeseburgers and hot wings, etc, and while you wait for your food, you can enjoy a cold beverage and cook up a conversation with the millionaire next door or the broken down cowboy who can remember when there were no millionaires next door. Our specials are worth a visit...Pickin' in the Park on Sundays 12p-4p, Bacon Saturdays, Karaoke Thursdays from 9p-1a, and a great mix of Live Music every Friday and Saturday from 9p-1a w/a series of Summer Showcase shows all summer, on the first weekend of every Month, starting this May. The Moon River annual Crawfish Festival (Scheduled for April 27th this year) is a great community event. Crawfish, barbecue, and zydeco and rock music fuses together in a great setting. At their best, bars can be more than the drinks served and can deliver more than the food on your plate. At Moon River Bar, that something extra is the feeling that you're in exactly the right place at exactly the right time. You have a chance to truly escape the cares of your everyday life and blend into the oak trees and summer breezes. Every time I go to Moon River I feel guilty for not having introduced it to more people. Experiences this special should be shared...
