Indie Music people from all points North, South East and West will converge on Music Row in Nashville, Tennessee, September 30 - October 2, 2011 for the Independent Music Fest Nashville. There will be multiple indoor stages with live music performances separated into two categories: Stages exclusively for singer songwriters who play their original songs looking for others to cut their material and stages for Performing Artist Only who are part of an Act or Show. Songwriters with original compositions will be assigned to play their songs at Original Songs Only stage areas. The goal of the live music portion of the event is to pair Performing Artist who need great songs with original songwriters who have the types of material the Artist are seeking for their Act. There will be the usual suspects in the crowd since this is Music Row and it is Music City, USA so do not be shy. Mid way thru the Fest on Saturday evening, the festival host an Indie Music Masquerade Ball & Songwriters Gala. From 7PM - till? The Dance Band comes out, mask and costumes are donned, food is served in a continuous buffet and the party is on. We all need a break from business as usual so people can come as they are not and hide behind a mask or costume. There will be a silent auction, raffles, prizes and give-a-ways for the festival fundraiser. Education has also been an important part of our activities over the past ten years and after two years of preparation we are proud to launch the Independent Music Association.
