Howdy hay! This here's a reminder of the South Oz Hoot Night next Saturday, April 9. It's going to be a thoroughly entertaining lineup featuring Two Bits & A Dollar followed by Little e & The Catfish. Two Bits & A Dollar is the new, full band with Gretchen Janzow and myself on vocals and guitar, respectively (the original Two bits), joined by Sonal Blumenthal on drums, Kent Cole on bass, JB Henry on Trumpet and Jimmy Ruggiere on harmonica. Old timey tunes mixed with new timey, tunes in between and something original on top. We will play the early set, starting around 8pm, Oz Time. Then, round about 9:30 or so I am priveleged to present Little e & The Catfish, Frank Meyer's wonderful band of Cab Calloway-type skid diddley, featuring Frank on stringed boxes of all sorts and vocals, Stan Smith on guit box and clarinet, Oliver Steck on accordion and tuba, and the delightful Elena "Little e" Antinelli on vocals. Bring your favorite friend(s), chair, a potluck snack to share, a beverage, if you care. I'll have some good Berkey water here and there. I won't say nothin' about yer hair. And perhaps a fire to keep away the lions, tigers, and bears. See yous there! Norm 512-921-9482
