Torture for Pleasure certainly has an alluring ring to it; a very suitable name for a thrash metal band. The guitar was outstanding, the solos were impressive and well placed and it gave that real metal essence. The end of I-330 was unexpected, but added quite a bit of texture to the song (it gave a sort of melodic touch that did remind me of Megadeth) and the use of the bass was pleasingly separate from the guitar. The vocals were a little inconsistent, TETELESTAI (Sweet Darkness) stood out for me; Cicely carried the notes very well, but I found that in many of the songs the verses that she sang along to while keeping beat with the faster tempo weren't awfully qualitative. It may just be the recording equipment and overall the vocals were fairly good. The band had a slightly typical sound for metal and a few rifts sounded some odd familiar, but other than that the music blended rather well. Metal often gives a feel of aggression and frustration that definitely appeared in this band; there really isn't anything left to complain about in the music, but there's also nothing that thoroughly defines the sound of the band. Torture For Pleasure is a well coordinated band and receives a 7/10 from Out of Tune Reviews.

Q: Keep it appropriate? I thought this was a fucking metal band? ;)

A: Well appropriate is fucking relative isn't it? What's appropriate for us might not be appropriate for Reba Fucking MacIntyre right? As for your second question: Yes it fucking is a metal band!!! Thanks for asking before hitting play!
