“SonicSouth: The Beat of the Southeast On SScene: If you missed The Torsades Saturday at Tin Roof Cantina...well, where were you?! The modern rock quintet played an incredible repertoire of originals to a packed house of fans and new converts. Selecting from a deep catalog of tunes, the group tore that tin roof right off! The band is now gearing up for the "We Got the Beat" Battle of the Bands at Vinyl on April 16. Mark your calendar "We Got the Beat" - Battle of the Bands @ Vinyl Location: Vinyl Time: ‎6:00PM Saturday, April 16th (Note-Battle of the Bands date has changed to June 18th.) ”

Q: George, has the liking of your music genre the reason why you chose to start a band? Will you ever play in Texas? I see you remained the same kind guy and you play the guitar pretty good for a Dr.

A: Thanks. There have certainly been influences that have inspired us but I like to think of our style as somewhat varied. This is what we strive to achieve and in a way did lead to the formation of Torsades. Nothing against cover bands but we chose to do our own thing. Both Rene' and I came to Georgia from Texas. If the situation presents itself, I'm sure a road trip to Texas would be fun!!! -George
