The Pitch Invasion / Press

“The second half of Russian Roulette has probably the best sequence of four songs that I could ever dream of. All four songs begin with the strangest sound-bites that don’t seem to be related to the actual songs, but are hilarious. “Chubby Chaser” is not only my favorite song on the album, but it starts the sequence off and is 90 seconds of insanity, crass lyrics, and speed. Following is “Soul Rebel” and that song is just as fast with one of the catchiest guitar riffs/vocal melodies on the album. “Diablo” is third and it holds Denver references, guitar solos, and Joey Chaos tearing it up on the drums. Finishing up the four songs is, “Scenester,” and it is a vocal mockery of scene kids who are actually posers, which is hilarious.”

“Imagine um jogo de futebol com estádio lotado, 50.000 pessoas, todas invadindo o campo para comemorar com os jogadores o recém conquistado título. Agora imagine um show de punk rock super agitado, com as mesmas 50.000 pessoas e uma banda energética colocando tudo a baixo. Isso é o que penso quando ouço uma música do The Pitch Invasion.”

“The tunes are melodic without losing the rawness, aggression and sense of mayhem aimed at the angst of the inner adolescent in all of us.”
