The Nyco Project EP Launch + Free EP With Sky Between Leaves live The Nyco Project live Turnpike Glow live Plus: Musicjelly (Interactive audiovisual happening) Free entry * Free EP * Random audiovisual happening created by The Nyco Project (www.musicjelly.com) * Something else for free "The Nyco Project is possibly one of the most forward-thinking bands I've come accross, releasing this EP as an interactive (rather addictive) app is genius! With their mellow vibes, thumping beats and the low buzz of the bassline accompanied by this creativity, they're bound to stricke gold!" (Kate Every - Hear me Raw Music @ "The Tastemakers" Music Week Magazine) "The New Machine EP opens on Fade Away, a track admirable in its dramatic intensity and buzzing riffs, thumping, rumbling and shimmering its way through. You’re So Weak is like The White Stripes crossed Yeah Yeah Yeahs, perfect syncopation under a hazy sinister glow. Closing with title track, The New Machine explores the frankly bizarre relationship we all have with our computers. The song moves with confidence and compulsive grandeur, punctuated with sudden sweet vocals. Twisting at all levels, the band combine genres and likes in a way that always feels varied and variegated, but never chaotic, and is very much their own. […] bold, bristling, and ultimately fantastic songs" (Francesca Baker - And So She Thinks & Shoreditch Radio). Sky Between Leaves. The band’s name was taken from Jarvis Cocker’s narrative of being given glasses as a child and realizing that the holes in the trees were in fact the “sky between the leaves”. That enthralling imagery translates to the band’s sound and the elicited sentiment is simple yet poignant: it's like awakening from a feverish dream to a wildly glittery reality. Special guests Turnpike Glow, who just launched their own EP with great industry interest, will bring the uplifting end of the night to face the week ahead with a smile: "I LOVE this!" Lauren Laverne, BBC6, "Fabulous!" Frank Skinner, Absolute Radio. "Irresistibly perky fun" This is Fake DIY."If every indie band would sound this creative, daring and brilliant, the world would sure be a better place" Goonite Promotion.
