The Kinky Fingers / Press

“Kinky Fingers tore it up at Three Kings. Super fun. Tayler jumps around so many different stylings, but all from a very 60's revival point of view. I love the way that one song will be totally surfy and the next will be really folky. I am also digging the grandpa on vacation style that band is rocking.”

“Kinky Fingers was their name and boy were they were riding the southern gospel wave. The front man sang with wonderful vibrato and a southern twang while his band mates took their sound to a more alternative level. Kinky Fingers had the crowd pumped – either that or they hired the people in the front row to really freak out. Everyone was gravitating towards the front, the level of excitement even sent two punk guys into a heavy, very public, makeout sesh. The show ended poetically with a soulful cover of Sam Cooke’s “Bring it on Home to Me”.”

“Soulful and smooth, rough and rigid. You gave me the goosebumbs.”

Alexandra from Los Angeles

“Sounds as if The Kinky Fingers has been around the wrenching block a few times! Ooooffff, damn good voice!!”

Mike - Jamendo Reviews

“The Colorado native has found a way to fuse vintage surf sound with western swing. Something he calls “Santa Fe Surf Rock.”

Lauren - 5280 Magazine

“In French, we have an idiom that says “Avoir un coup de foudre” (“to be struck by lightning” = To fall head over heels for something). Tayler told me he was struck by lightning as a kid. If you’re into Americana music, we guarantee their music will have the same effect on you”

Cécile Perrin - The Explorer Mag

“Y'all are like a western wave of swing and surf music!”

Kim from Austin

“Good energy to the whole thing that I enjoyed, those lyrics are pretty wild! ”

Dave Pomeroy - Nashville Music Association

“It's hard to put your finger on The Kinky Fingers are they Rock? Are they Blues? Are they Folk? Are they a two piece or a four piece. I guess it depends on the night you see them, but when ever you see them your guaranteed for good tunes and entertainment.”
