The Django Riders / Press

“The Django Riders is a four piece folk/ rock band out of Nashville, Tennessee. The Django Rider’s music ranges from “let’s sit and chill” to bubbly and feel good. So pretty much- no matter your mood, they have a song for you. The vocals have a raspy sort of grunge to them, and there is always a wicked groove to accompany them. This has definitely helped TDR stand out in the folk rock scene. With all three of their nominations for the Nashville Universe Awards (“Entertainer of the Year,” “Song of the Year,” and “Songwriter of the Year”), their success has proven to turn some heads. Be sure to give these guys a listen and be on the look out because things are looking pretty bright for them!”

“A bit of blues, a bit of folk, and a whole lot o' soul!”

“ Wrapping up the party, the concert and nite were The Django Riders, appearing for the second time this year and thumping, pumping out their solid brand of folksy blues. ”

Musicians In Action Guild - The Beat Goes On Wrap

“Tim Cathcart is an accomplished musician. He was the lead singer and guitar player for a band called Sierra that was popular a few years back. Sierra was the opening act for Janie Fricke and Merle Haggard. The Django Riders sound like a blend of the Zac Brown Band and Jimmy Buffett. All of the material that the Django Riders perform are all original material written by Jay Cathcart. Jay has spent a lot of time over the last year coming up with material for the new band. The band is currently working on a single that will be sent to radio. ”

“Family fun night will wrap up the 70th Annual Middle Tennessee Strawberry Festival at 7 p.m. with the Django Riders taking the stage at the Wanda Collins Amphitheater at Richland Park.”
