  • Badones Want YOU at OMFest 2013

Sounds Like: The Ramones, The Clash, Therapeutic Paradox, Buzzcocks

Label: Round

Bio: With a shared love of seminal punk rockers the Ramones, the Badones (as in Ramones) formed out of necessity one fatefull, full-mooned month in 2008. With several bass players now passed on, the line-up has stabilised with Wazza Badone and his funky playing style.

“BADONES play OMFEST! ROCKhampton’s Ramones’ tragics the Badones are set to play this coming weekend’s Original Music Festival, or OMFest, for the very first time and guitarist/vocalist Jim Douglas (aka Jay Dee) is excited at the prospect for a few reasons...With OMFest meant to feature ‘original’ music, how does this sit with a band known mainly for performing sets of Ramones songs or 70’s punk rock covers? Jay Dee: “Well, that’s the main reason we’re excited about this show. While we’ve played OMFest before as our alter egos Therapeutic Paradox, this will be the first time we’ve played a full, originals Badones’ set; we’ve got quite a few new songs and we’re stoked to be able to have a chance to try them out on an audience. We’re really looking forward to it!””
