"Based in Chicago, The Alder Kings are a fiery threesome, raging with crunchy, gnarly instrumental rock n' roll with a psychobilly edge. Not much reverb in the guitars, mainly just twangy distortion, but it's a sound that works well with imagery of hot rods or extreme sports. I hear bits of bands like Man Or Astroman? or the Ghastly Ones in their sound, but just tiny bits - they've really kinda forged their own sound on this 6 track EP (which contains 5 actual songs, along with a spooky intro track). A great introduction for a band that just got their start last year - look forward to hearing more from them in the future."
