Synapsis / Press

“Chicago rock foursome Synapsis’ latest release, “Give in to Syn”, has an interesting and powerful feel to it. This is not an E.P. to be analyzed too deeply, as the music is straight-ahead, no-nonsense hard rock, with plenty of loud guitars, sturdy harmonies, and easy-to-groove-to rhythms. Sounding much like a mix between Dead Men Dreaming, 30 Seconds to Mars (thankfully without the fashion leanings), and a touch of Jimmy Eat World, Synapsis blends up their own version of original rock-n’-roll with no unnecessary filler or overextension, and for that, they’ve written a damn fine E.P. indeed. [...]As it is, Synapsis’ “Give in to Syn” should gain the band some new fans and some well-earned attention for its easy-to-understand approach to hard rock.
