“Sweet Water is a rarity as a band – a group of survivors who have created and sustained a badass rock and roll band that is built to last. Bands don’t seem to last anymore – but Sweet Water does, and they keep getting better. 2012 will mark the release of the first new Sweet Water material since 2009 – and will be the SW recording debut of white-hot drummer Chris Friel (Goodness, Shadow, The Rockfords), who joined in mid-2009. The as-yet untitled new record is slated for release in July of 2012 and promises to be a walloping follow-up to 2009’s fan favorite, the critically-acclaimed “Clear the Tarmac” (Golden City).”
