Moiika / Press

“When you hear Moiika’s music you first hear Dancehall queen Lady Saw with all the sexual innuendo as you continue to listen you hear that she has lyrics as well. This side of her I would compare to a Nicki Minaj as she raps, then switches to singing and then do a little Jamaican DJ. Moiika is a dancer, rapper, singer and writer and I must say talented one at all of them. Moiika has done much to have amass a large following of over 77,000 likes on Facebook and I personal expect this to continue to grow as her music spreads”

“Kingston, Jamaica via California. Popular Dancehall phenomena Moiika is all set to tease her male listeners about bedroom etiquette with her latest release, 'Unda Covaz', due to be released soon. Bringing a sexiness and seductive fluidity that only Moiika can muster, 'Unda Covaz' is a vibrant track on a thick and up-tempo "DubTrap" (combination of dubstep and trap music) riddim. Moiika combines the usage of patois (french-creole) and her native dialect to deliver a love story explaining that no matter how many guys are there in the game who chase after her, only one man has her heart and can get her 'unda covaz'. "There's only one bomboclaat buddy mi pree, dread-head yaad man initials Z dot Eeeeeeee", she said in her thick and fluent Jamaican twang.”

"A uncategorizable female artist that vocalizes as well as she lyricizes, dances aswell as she looks and a master of public relations. Moiika’s music and style are captivating, appealing and representative of people of many cultures. THERE HAS BEEN NONE LIKE HER."

“Moiika's latest release, Insanity, is a hot reggae track that will set any urban dance club ablaze. Moiika sings a seductive vocal on Insanity that is meant to stimulate the testosterone in men who hear the song and watch the video. Her vocal delivery is not only sensual, it is also very crafty and big with lots of rhythm changes, making her talent as a vocalist pretty hot. The music production is another reason this track is worth checking out. The drum programming has a hip-hop vibe to it that will get a crowd moving. The rapid fire synths and hot bassline on top of the drums make this "beat" a top of the line production. Overall, Insanity is a very good reggae track/song that should have no problem getting radio and club DJ support. As an artist, Moiika reminds me of one of my favorite female reggae artist - Patra. I'd definitely recommend checking this artist out if you're looking for some hot new reggae music. Review by: Senseitional ”

“Stanley noted the competitive nature of the dancehall industry, especially among the queens, as well as the often 'slack' image given to them, and decided it was time to put past grudges aside to, not just clean up the image of the queens, but to help others. "God gave me a vision where I would get the best of the best of dancehall queens to get together to first acknowledge our Creator and bring glory to Him. Second, to work together for something positive and learn from each other. Also, to use our fan bases and following to generate some money for charities that are in the communities that we derive from (Jamaica and Africa)."”
