Music Prize is offering select ReverbNation/BandLab artists exclusive free entry into their 2025 Music Prize competition and conference. While all finalists receive $1,000 to perform (plus one complimentary hotel room for October 16-18, two tickets to MPCon, plus VIP badges for each of the band members which grant you free food and drink throughout the festival), the Grand Prize is $10,000 cash. All genres are welcome, original music only, live performance is a prerequisite.
Past winners of Music Prize include ReverbNation/BandLab platform artists The American Hotel System, Octavia the Great, and Niki J. Crawford – this year, it could be you!
How it Works
- Artists are asked to submit a 15-20 minute performance directly to Music Prize and complete the Music Prize Musician Portal by July 8, 2025
- All selected ReverbNation/BandLab artists’ submission fees are waived
- Music Prize’s music industry judges will review ReverbNation/BandLab performer submissions and select artists to compete in the Music Prize Qualifier, which will stream online July 25 – August 1, 2025
- Ten (10) finalists will be announced in August 2025
- Finalist Musicians attend MPCon and play at Prize Fest October 17-18, 2025
- Please note, that in-person attendance is required at both Prize Fest 2025 and Music Prize Conference 2025 for all finalists
- Out-of-town performers will receive up to $250 in travel reimbursements including transportation and additional lodging
- Mentor-Judges determine winners based on the artists’ live performance at Prize Fest and their interactions with artists at the Music Prize Conference, all occurring October 17-18, 2025 in Shreveport, LA
- Music Prize’s first-place cash award is $10,000 ; $2,000 for second; $1,000 for third. All artists will be paid $500 for their performances

Music Prize is part of the Prize Foundation, a 14 year-old nonprofit that hosts competitions and conferences for creative professionals. The nationally celebrated Music Prize and Music Prize Conference annually jury in 10 musical acts as finalists through our streaming Qualifier Round. Finalists then compete in Shreveport, LA by performing live at Prize Fest and attending the nationally lauded Music Prize Conference (MPCon), where musicians are in direct contact with music industry pros.
