On stage, dance floor or hanging from the ceiling, every Saturday night this lush art deco inspired venue comes to life with the crème of local and international guest performers alongside a rambunctious crowd comprised of circus kids, carney folk and vaudevillians. STRINGS ON FIRE Strings on Fire is the world’s leading violin stunt duo. Using elements of Tango, violin, fire, circus stunts and physical theatre, their shows create a unique and breathtaking combination of stunts and live music. The company “Strings on Fire” was formed by Rachele Wildmare (Mare) and Michael Collins (Nellie) in 2006. With close to 1000 live performances and three world tours behind them, Strings on Fire are true vetrans. Their passion for creating a new form of corporate and festival entertainment stands out: “There is nothing else like this around anywhere in the world.” Dave Chameleon, MC at The Snakepit, Glastonbury Festival 2009 DAN POWER Daniel started performing at a young age, competing for his local dance studio as an acrobat and contortionist in regional dance festivals. In 2003 he completed a Bachelor of Circus Arts from Australia’s National Institute of Circus Arts (NICA). While performing at corporate events Daniel was chosen by Cirque Du Soleil for the Las Vegas performance of “KA”. Returning to Australia in 2007 Daniel has maintained a high profile coaching at NICA, as well as performing harness work at corporate productions for companies such as Amway and Woolworth’s. He has also performed a duo net act for events including Live 08 and the opening of the 1st Asia Pacific Out Games. Recently Daniel has been involved in a residency at the Dance and Aerial Studios in Canberra, creating and performing in the production “Distance 665”. Dan has all so traveled internationally with the international ballet theater performing in Latin America as a cultural exchange and fundraising effort for children living with HIV.
