Squeaker / Press

“...This EP shows a lot of promise for the quartet, who sound as if they have the potential to succeed in the national market at least... 'Fly, Baby, Fly' demonstrates a band with a good grasp of writing, as well as weaving complex musical arrangements without the music becoming confused.... ...The strength of Squeaker's EP is their distinctive sound; they are a rock outfit without doubt, but they aren't pushing their hardest just for the sake of it. There's a real sense of restrained power, particularly in vocal centric songs You're A Star, Out Of This Place and Good Times. For my money, I'd say that the opening track Falling For You and Bigger Than You & Me are the strongest executions of Squeaker's brand of rock. The band seems to work best on this EP when they really go heavy... ...With no slouch tracks, 'Fly, Baby, Fly' promises good things from Squeaker in the future. This EP is well worth a listen.
