“Opening the evening were the Shocks of Mighty out of Oceanside. Their sound had some rock and soul influences, while still staying true to a roots ska sound. They had a slow start because they came on stage the same time that the venue opened the doors, but once they got warmed up they sounded great. Mike “Stinky” Thompson, the band leader and vocalist, brought some humor to the performance and all of the instrumental solos got the crowd dancing.
