We're moving downstairs for a night!! Join us for an extra-special-saucy evening with THE MIKE DILLON BAND in the Urban Onion Lounge!!! With special guests from Seattle Slow Bunny. ...You may have seen Mike D playing with Skerik in the Dead Kenny G's at the Olympia Ballroom last year ... $6 at the Door - all ages till 11, then 21+ From his high-octane performance and unorthodox percussion rig, to the perfectly orchestrated mellifluous cacophony creating that unforgettable "Mike D" sound, there is no question that Mike Dillon is one of the most dynamic, multifaceted, electrifying percussionists in the country. After emerging in late 1980’s, as the first vibraphonist and vocalist to lead a rock/funk band, contributing to its evolution by his use of effects, Dillon has become well-known for producing genre-bending music that transcends categorization. Mike Dillon has worked with artists such as Les Claypool, Ani DiFranco, Polyphonic Spree, Brave Combo, Sex Mob, Galactic, Secret Chief’s 3, Karl Denson, Skerik, Charlie Hunter, and George Porter Jr. His individual projects include: Critter’s Buggin’, Garage A Trois, Billy Goat, Mike Dillon’s Go-Go Jungle, Hairy Apes BMX, Malachy Papers, the Dead Kenny G’s, who regularly open for Primus, and his latest, The Mike Dillon Band.
