Paducah, Kentucky's Lower Town Arts & Music Festival is THE regional Festival for Western Kentucky and the surrounding area. The Festival's mission is to celebrate the cultural richness of this part of the country ... regional music, art, theater, food, a great children’s Area so bring the whole family! In 2012 & 2013, this Festival has been selected as one of the Top 10 Spring Festivals in Kentucky by the Kentucky State Tourism Bureau. Admission is FREE.
The Festival occurs in the neighborhood known as Lower Town; extending from Sixth and Seventh Streets from Monroe to Harrison, with the president streets 'gatewayed' at Fifth and Eighth Streets. While the physical boundaries of the festival are defined by requirements involving the service of alcoholic beverages, the classification of roads as county highways, and other mysteries too arcane to fathom, there are quite a few of the prominent Artists and Galleries that Fall outside these festival boundaries.
There will be a lot of different food options at the festival - some of the best loved restaurants in town will be there- so make a day of it. You can have Lunch, Dinner & Dessert in completely different places all on the same block!
Information and Festival 'swag' will be at the Texaco Station... make that your first stop if you have any questions or needs... The Lower Town neighborhood wants you to feel at right at home!
Come on down to Lower Town to enjoy it all!
