Fresh off their performance at last summer’s inaugural Firefly Music Festival and their sold out show upstairs at The Queen in November, Newark, DE’s lowercaseblues is a power trio featuring Jake Banaszak (lead guitar), B.J. Muntz (bass and vocals) and Rick Webster (drums). Since the band started in 2003, they have established themselves as one of the best in the area, taking blues to a whole new level and earning respect as being some of the best up and coming musicians today.
Having opened for Buddy Guy, John Corbett, Los Lonely Boys, Jakob Dylan, Robert Randolph and more, the band always plays with feeling and improvisation… you’ll never hear a song played the same way twice. No wonder Leo Nocentelli of The Meters personally asked them to back him up at while performing at Dogfish Head Brewery last summer. Selected as the "Best Band in Delaware" by both Out and About and Delaware Today Magazine, lowecaseblues also won “Battle of the Blues” for local radio station 98.5 Big Classic Rock.
