Rock The Blocks is a two-day music festival organized by 16 Blocks Magazine. The event encompasses numerous Blacksburg venues and dozens of bands. On Saturday, March 23rd, 622 North will host a Rock the Blocks show featuring Jugbusters, Spoon Fight, and Driftin’ Westward.
The Jugbusters are a local old-time band with Bill Richardson on fiddle and vocals, Russ Boyd on banjo and vocals, Nicholas Polys on acoustic guitar and vocals, Liam Kelly on electric guitar and vocals, and Chris Printz on standup bass.
Spoon Fight, a Floyd-based alternative rock band with roots that dig into Blues, and Driftin’ Westward, an Americana/folk band from Blacksburg, will warm up the stage for the Jugbusters. Spoon Fight’s all-acoustic set will be a first for the band.
