Local promoters SO:NI host the latest in their popular series of live shows at Hague’s Bar in Lisburn on Thursday 29th November, and another high quality 4 band bill has been assembled!
The gig will be headlined by Pay*ola – a hard rock band with many links to the city, and a reputation for passionate, energy fuelled performances at every show they play. This will be the band’s first Lisburn show since releasing their new “Hope & Design” EP – a 5 track CD showcasing the full scope of their sound, from the hard edged riffing on “Hard to Define” to the big ballad “Cassette”. The EP is available at iTunes and all good online retailers, though the band will be giving free copies of the CD to the first 25 paying punters at this show!
Special guests are St.Hellfire – a loud and raw rock’n’roll outfit from Lisburn, with guitars set to “crunch” and songs which are a cocktail of gasoline and adrenaline! Led by twin vocalists Mark Fanjo & Ian Baxter, this band is an in your face experience.
Also on the bill – and playing their first ever Lisburn show is brand new heavy rock band from Banbridge – The Screaming Eagles are another full throttle rock band with a huge sound, featuring the highly powerful vocals of Chris Fry. This is a debut not to be missed!
Kicking off the night is another relatively new band – Yellow Sam from Co.Armagh add an element of blues to the classic rock mix, reminiscent of the bands Free & Bad Company, and also feature a quality vocalist in Jordan Feighan.
This is as good a rock line-up as you will see anywhere in the country and promises to be a great night out, with many drinks promos and the usual welcoming SO:NI atmosphere. Also – Hague’s Bar has recently undergone a makeover, having been extensively refurbished, and is now an even better venue for live music. Doors open at 8.30pm, admission is only £4.50. SO:NI are always on the lookout for new bands in the Lisburn area to play their shows – join them on Facebook by searching Soni Live. The Christmas show at Hague;s will depart from the usual "last Thursday of the month" slot, taking place on Wednesday 19th December, with The Dead Presidents headlining.
