Steven Graves brings his eight-piece band featuring some of the area's most prominent musicians to Don Quixote's tonight for a rock, folk and blues CD Release Party. Just released in November of this year, “Let it Ride” is Steven fourth CD in the last three years. His previous release “Matter of Time” received worldwide play and peaked at #8 on the jambands.com music chart in the U.S.. Steven recently teamed up with Dennis McNally, the Grateful Dead's publicist for nearly 30 years, resulting in extensive radio play and interviews across the country. Dayan Kai, who has produced his last 3 CDs, and who also plays in his band. Gail Rich award winner, Tammi Brown will be one of the special guests performing with Steven for this show. There is a socially conscious and positive vibe that pervades Steven's music. Steven's music has a sense of familiarity and timelessness to it. “Excellent and strong, Graves gives the song (Lightning Medicine Cloud) a feel that could easily have come from the catalogue of Neil Young and one the famed singer-songwriter would be proud of.” Maurice Hope, Rock n Reel Magazine, UK.
The Rayburn Brothers Band, with their rough-hewn folk-rock sound, is comprised of gifted singer songwriter Craig Rayburn, a well-seasoned musician with a powerful voice and lyrics, and brother Keith Rayburn, also a talented singer songwriter, who brings his stellar dobro and slide guitar playing to the mix.
