Winding up and down the east coast, Wrembel’s tour will return to Philadelphia, PA and Baltimore, MD before heading south to Charlotte, NC and Atlanta, GA, among several other stops. The complete list of confirmed tour dates is included below. \n\nTo say that Wrembel—who learned his craft among the Gypsies at campsites in the French countryside of Fontainebleau—has already had a remarkable career would be an understatement. He’s been called “a revelation” by Rolling Stone. Woody Allen recruited him to score the theme for last year’s smash film Midnight in Paris, and he performed his original song “Bistro Fada” live at this year’s Academy Awards ceremony. Also this year – studio visits to NPR Weekend Edition, BBC Radio, and WNYC. Plus, it was a Wrembel song that won Gentleman Shaver a Clio Award for “Best Original Song Used in a Commercial.”\n\nBut this virtuoso, who is now Brooklyn-based, has truly just begun to make his mark as one of the most original guitar voices in contemporary music. Origins, Wrembel’s spring 2012 release recorded with his band—bassist Dave Speranza, rhythm guitarist Roy Williams, drummer Nick Anderson and percussionist David Langlois— touches upon everything from blues to flamenco to rock; all of these influences come together as something identifiable only as Stephane Wrembel.\n\n“I just play my own music,” he says. “I like to believe that it is beyond any one genre and that there is something in it for everyone. It’s not only for the rock music lover, or for the Django lover; it’s not only for the jazz lover, or for just young people or old people. It’s for the music lover.” Indeed, Origins is the most sophisticated representation to date of Wrembel’s superior compositional skills. Fleshed out by the superb musicians in his band, Wrembel’s melodies burst with panoply of textures and colors, moods and emotions.\n\nLook for Stephane Wrembel and His Band on tour now and keep an eye out for another big year ahead for this rising talent. \n\nUpcoming tour dates for Stephane Wrembel include:\nThursday, November 1 The Saint Asbury Park NJ \nSunday, November 4 Johnny Brenda's Philadelphia PA \nThursday, November 8 8 X 10 Baltimore MD \nFriday, November 9 Bogart's in the Fan Richmond VA \nSaturday, November 10 Amos' Southend Charlotte NC \nSunday, November 11 The Underground Theater Winston-Salem NC \nWednesday, November 14 New Earth Music Hall Athens GA \nThursday, November 15 Smith's Olde Bar Atlanta GA \nFriday, November 16 Live Wire Savannah GA \nSaturday, November 17 Awendaw Green Awendaw SC\nSunday, November 18 The Pour House Raleigh NC \n\n\nAdditional dates to be announced.
