and lots of zombies!
4:00PM - Enjoy pre-zombie walk activities including professional zombie face painting provided by Perfectly Painted Faces ($5 per zombification), food booths, zombie memorabilia and promo materials. There will be a Zombie Studio set up for portrait photography by Mark Primavera, by donation for the Food Bank.
Be sure to check out last year's photos at http://zombiewalk.ssmarts.org/gallery.php!
6:00PM - The Arts Council (in association with Algoma University and Sault College's Student Food Bank) will let loose the undead in the Sault's downtown area; but not without sending a Zombie resistance after them!*
* - Before you call the Canadian Forces, we would like to highlight that these zombies are actually just everyday, living people dressed in full zombie gear and the Zombie Resistance is just a group of individuals with FAKE zombie weapons. Even so, we may allow the resistance to hunt and remove zombies that do not bring at least two non-perishable food items. This is a Food Bank fundraiser after all; we can’t all eat brains for dinner!
After the walk, various prizes will be awarded at the Grand Theatre to walk participants.
8:00PM - A Halloween-themed movie will be presented to all ages.
10:00PM - A 19+ only after party will include live performances and a DJ dance party.
Last year’s event saw about 250 participants and 650 non-perishable food items were collected to donate. This year our goal is to collect 1000 non-perishable food items for donation.
Ticket prices for the movie and afterparty will be available shortly on the Soo Zombie Walk 2012 link on our website at www.ssmarts.org and at the Soo Zombie Walk site at http://zombiewalk.ssmarts.org/.
