Alabama's official end-of-summer celebration is back! It's time for the 7th Annual Jazz on the Grass, presented by WVAS-FM and the Alabama Jazz and Blues Federation, Labor Day, September 3, 2012 at Rolling Hills Estates in the Town of Pike Road, Al. MDA records recording artist Marcus Anderson will headline the show, featuring Birmingham native James "PJ" Spraggins, the return of Atlanta-based saxophonist Reggie Hines, the King Bee Blues Band, vocalist Jilla Webb and a special appearance by Montgomery's own Amon Robinson and 2012 "American Idol" vocalist, Wetumpka native Brandon Cox. Gates open at 10 A.M., horns up at 11 A.M. Tickets are $15 in advance, $20 at the gate, children 12 and under $1. Tickets can be purchased at Pike Road Town Hall, The Butcher Shop in Pike Road, Ted the Wine Guy on Zelda Road, Derk's Filet & Vine in Old Cloverdale, Another Chance Package Store on Central Parkway, The ITT Office on Maxwell Air Force Base and Calhoun Foods in Montgomery and Tuskegee.
