On July 4th, Ginny’s will be the spot to check out the five-member fusion of Afropop, Hip-Hop, Rock and Soul with Meta and the Cornerstones. Producing new Reggae sounds in a variety of languages for anyone to relate to this holiday, lead singer Meta Dia clutches a voice of truth, happiness and strife while giving nod to Bob Marley and Gregory Isaacs. Adding to Dia’s sounds will be diverse instrument beats from North America, Asia and the Middle East, and this is music about loving, emotions, fighting and survival. Touring with the likes of Luciano and Tanya Stephens, Meta and the Cornerstones have played all over world–from Africa to Belgium, Holland and now Harlem.
If you’re looking for a live throwback to the Reggae of yesteryear, then head downstairs to Ginny’s to see this band perform songs from prior records, as well as some new cuts from their upcoming album, expected to be released this year. Celebrate our Independence and show your true colors this 4th of July.
