Join us for an intimate, acoustic evening. Amanda Penecale is a singer songwriter originally from Bucks County, PA. She graduated from the Rhode Island School of Design with a degree in Illustration, and she now uses her story telling education in the form of songwriting. Her sound is full of harmony and simplicity, and her live performances channel the energy and clarity of an Andrew Wyeth painting. This is the last show before her anticipated record release July 7 at Puck.
Matt Sowell grew up in a house flooded with instruments. He used to sit around the family's upright piano and make the best of its less-than-perfect tuning. His grandfather, a deep influence in his life, would sing mountain songs to Sowell and his brother in his old pickup truck Later on he worked under Nevin Fahs, an excellent master carpenter in addition to being a great guitar player. He introduced the KickingnMule tabs to Sowell. Soon after that he was introduced to Jack Rose and began his journey down the mountain road of music.
From the city of brotherly love, Jerry Hionis plays solo instrumental music on several stringed instruments a la John Fahey, Jack Rose, Robbie Basho and so on - known generally as "American Primitive Guitar".
