Paula is thrilled to introduce and front this super talented group of musicians. Perro’s sultry vocal styling provides a pleasing appeal - regardless the song, she will always make it her own. A powerful voice with marvelous stage presence, she invites her audiences to share the experience each time she takes to the stage. The band is the brainchild of renowned promoter Lyle Wark and bassist Randy Forsberg. They met while Forsberg was playing with Bruce Conte (formerly of Tower of Power), and the two soon became fast friends. After some collaboration, they set out to put together "The Project", a band consisting of dedicated and diligent musicians aiming toward breaking away from the "standard". The band consists of a talent pool of fine players beginning with the always tasty guitarist Gerald Moellering, keyboard phenomenon Sean Grieve, groovy percussionist Greg Russell, the sophisticated saxophone styling of Wayne Gadbois, Dave Herrick as the notable natural trympeter, and rounding out the group is the in-the-pocket drummer Cody Forsberg, son of Randy. A proud father, Randy is thrilled that his son is the "better" half of this rock solid rhythm section. Together this enthusiastic group delivers a dynamic evening of music that will leave you wanting more.
Paula Perro & The Project are about to embark upon an adventure into original R&B - a style that is a mixture of classic Motown combined with rockin' blues. One of their upcoming shows brings them to Festival Place in Sherwood Park, Alberta, on July 28, 2012. Tickets are available at Ticketmaster and at Festival Place. Should you have any further inquiries or need any information, please call Lyle at Alberta Backline (Promotions) Ltd. at (780) 904-9024. See you at the show!!
