THE QUAGS & SCHILLS RECORD RELEASE SHOW!
Celebrating the release of their CD, "Priceless Grains of Sand", THE QUAGS kick out terrific guitar pop nuggets that mine influences such as Big Star, the Jam, and the Small Faces. The Quags turn out the type of smart, joyful, raucous, yet refined tunes that make the moniker “power pop” more powerful.
THE SCHILLS, Portland punk mainstays with strong roots in the Northwest Garage Rock tradition of early 60s bands such as the Sonics and The Kingsmen fused with the 80s post-punk sound of bands such as the Pixies and female fronted bands such as Concrete Blonde and Romeo Void. Celebrating the release of their debut EP, "Wrapped Up In Stars," their sound is made up of roaring guitars, throbbing bass, pounding drums, and a wailiing baritone sax that back up the salty and sultry vocals of frontwoman Erica Johnson.
With special guests, THE HONUS HUFFHINES!
