Artcore! 4 people numerous instruments and a whirlwind of ideas.
Feick's Device sound like a spaghetti western played by punks - fast, slow, abrasive, catchy and beautiful.
Feick's Device formed in Sydney late 2007 as a 2 piece (drums and guitar), played some excellent shows, recruited a bassplayer, lost the drummer, got a new drummer and started all over again late 2009.
Their self-released single, 'The bone boiler', was released late 2010 and was followed by their 2011 ep, 'Still busy storing away fat for your trial by fire', available online and in good record stores throughout Australia.
Ron was shy. He went up to Denise and asked her if she would play. She said yes. They played happily. Then they wanted a drummer. They asked Chris. He said yes but that he was a bass player. Then they played some more. They spent a lot of time trying to find a permanent drummer.First it was Stevie from Tumbleweed but he was too busy with his 96 other bands. There was a little EP with him though, a lovely souvenir.
Then there was Rhea but she had to go O/S,pursuing a matter of the heart.
Then there was Adam,we threw him straight into recording an album and playing shows, but his schedule was too full and he hated Chris. At Adam's last gig we asked the crowd if anyone wanted to drum and Darren said hello and we all danced with glee.He is a good drummer. It is all very pleasant.
