A budding friendship between Roger Fyfe (Stage Management Event Designer) and Beck brings her together with Kate Delaney for an evening of sincere lyrics, stirring vocals and fine cuisine at Sydney’s inner west venue, Cafe Del’or.
Kate has been a well known performer in the Australian folk music scene for many years performing at all the major festivals such as Woodford, Port Fairy and the National Folk Festival in Canberra. She has also performed on television and radio and appeared with international artists such as The Battlefield Band, Andy Irvine and Rory McLeod. She was an original member of the Larrikins with Warren Fahey and has performed with various musical combinations,as a solo artist, and with her husband and musical partner Gordon McIntyre until his death in 1999.
“Kate Delaney’s voice, with it’s Celtic lilt, is both appealing and commanding, urging the listener to stop and listen to the beauty and the sincerity of the lyrics and the pictures they evoke – the sweetest and finest of balladeers, calling us home at last, to where our hearts are.” David Mulhallen. ABC Radio. Adelaide. South Australia
Come and enjoy the warm atmosphere and experience Cafe Del’or’s culinary delights!
