Take it to the bridge, grasshopper!
This is a very special night of music as two songwriting masters and one promising apprentice share the bill.
Jim Page has been writing songs and playing them around the globe since the mid 60s. He is the archetype troubadour, bringing us the news, challenging our hearts and our minds. He has the poet’s touch with language, deft fingerpicking and flatpicking skills and a burnished performance st...yle. It you’ve only seen Jim busk at a local market, it is a real treat to hear him do a full set in a nice venue.
Yellowtail Recording artist Scott Katz writes some of the funniest and most touching songs on the planet. His deadpan delivery and masterful wordplay are a delight.
Mike Buchman's "outside-the-box wordsmithing has led him into some interesting and unique thought processes. Here’s a guy that’s not afraid to sing about the coagulation of honey, or feeding tubes or even God in the language of feeling. He has the gift of making an audience listen, because, truth be told, he has something real to say.” according to Victory Music
Jim Page will play from 6:00 – 6:50 pm
Scott Katz will play from 6:55 – 7:45 pm
Mike Buchman will play from 7:50 – 8:40 pm
For the past year-plus, Tacos Guaymas in Lynnwood has been the home to a tremendous roots music series that runs the 2nd and 4th Saturday of every month. Hosted by Ray Boyce, the series brings local songwriters and roots bands to a growing audience. Combined with TG’s fresh home-style Mexican food and salsa bar, you have the fixings for a great night. Please join us April 9!
