The five-hour (2pm - 7pm), family-friendly and free music festival will be held outdoors on Saturday June 27, 2026 at the corner of Mack Avenue and Fischer Street and is open to everyone.\n\nSpearheaded by Pastor Raymond Willis of the Willis Temple and with the support of the Mack Alive organization (https://keepmackalive.org/), festival planners are uniting local churches and award-winning musical acts to create an event filled with the music, message and fellowship that they believe the city of Detroit will enjoy.\n\nFestival music coordinator MarQ Andrew Speck explains what’s new with this 2nd annual festival. “Building on the success of last year’s inaugural fest, we are\nbringing back crowd favorites such as Tosha Owens, David Winans II, the Innerspirit Project and Sweet Crystal”, says Speck. “We are also adding new acts to highlight the variety of music that shares the Good News to an audience that might not otherwise have a chance to hear the message of hope and unity.”\n\nNew this year will be the appearance of WJZD radio personality Gigi Jones as Unity Festival emcee. “I love that they (Unity Fest) do it for the community,” says Ms. Jones “and in a place where people who might not always hear about God... get a chance to hear and see it in action.”\nAlong with the musical performances, there will be refreshments available, a bounce house for the kids, and opportunities to speak with the church leaders for encouragement and personal support.
