The small floating club festival  hosted by corn punk kings the Hickoids is now in its thirteenth year, having been held at a variety of Austin venues since its inception, aside from a two-day livestream event broadcast  in a pandemic-stricken 2020 from an outdoor stage on the edge of Austin in front of a limited audience. Over the years the festival has played host to artists including Wreckless Eric, Old 97s, David Yow, and The Upper Crust (to name just a few) alongside Austin and Texas-based acts associated with the Saustex Record label. The festival is staged entirely without sponsorships but strives to present an affordable experience in friendly locales that are an alternative to the behemoth festival that shares the same acronym that's taking place at the same time.\n\nThis year's lineup:\nFriday October 7th/Night One - The Lost Well\n2421 Webberville Rd, Austin, TX 78702\nThe night will be headlined by New Zealanders Labretta Suede and The Motel 6. The band plays an eye-popping brand of trash rock that most immediately brings to mind what would have happened if Lux Interior and Poison Ivy had flipped roles and hair-color with a side of The Dwarves thrown in for good measure. They'll be supported by Hickoids, street rocking Marla Vee and the Natural Born Stud$, the absurd chaotic hardcore of Sodomy Cop and venerable Austin punk band Jesus Christ Superfly.\nDoors at 8pm/21+/$11 advance, $15 day of show
